Quality Volunteer Program
We strive to make our volunteer efforts rewarding and beneficial for both the volunteer and those receiving help. This list of opportunities is provided for helping you determine what might be a good fit for your interests and capabilities. Pack Food Boxes for the Hungry: (Mon.-Fri.)

  • Individuals and/or Groups of up to six persons
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs., able to stand and sit
  • For ages 12 and up (under sixteen must be accompanied by an adult)

Make Sandwiches/Pack Lunches for Free Lunch Program: (Mon. – Fri.)

  • Individuals and/or Groups of up to six persons
  • Able to lift 10 lbs. helpful
  • Able to sit at a table for extended periods of time
  • For ages 10 and up (under sixteen must be accompanied by an adult)

Receive and Sort Clothing for Free Clothing Room: (Mon. – Sat.)

  • Individual and/or Groups of up to 10 persons
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs. helpful
  • Able to stand, sit and bend
  • For ages 10 and up (under sixteen must be accompanied by an adult)

Assist in the 2nd Hand Treasure Thrift Store: (Mon. – Sat.)

  • Individuals and/or groups of up to 4 persons
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs. helpful. Not prone to allergies such as pollen/dust to help clean shelves, sort clothes which have been in storage, etc.
  • Must be at least 14 years old. (under sixteen must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Retail background helpful but not necessary.

Help with Back to School™, Thanksgiving or Christmas Programs: (Seasonal)

  • Individuals and/or Groups welcome for this project
  • Must be available during the seasonal impact months (Back to School is mid-July through mid-August) (Thanksgiving help needed first three weeks of November, and Christmas Boxes help during December).
  • Able to follow instructions for sorting and packing items
  • Hours vary but are primarily from 9 AM – 5 PM
  • This opportunity available for those ages 14 and above.

Special Event Volunteer Needs:

Each year in September we hold our annual fundraising event called Dining Out for Life. This presents unique opportunities for energetic and organized individuals to assist with gathering sponsors, silent auction gifts, decorating and more. If you would like to help with this event, please phone Paul Chinberg, Executive Director, at 259-2269 to discuss your interests.
