Volunteer Opportunities

Family Service, Inc. has a cherished heritage of attracting local Volunteers and Volunteer groups who are interested in doing good for their community. Whether it’s special events like Back to School, Thanksgiving Food Boxes, Christmas Gifts and Food Boxes, volunteers make it happen at Family Service, Inc. Daily activities, such as sorting donated clothing, Family Treasures 2nd Hand Store inventory and stocking, food distribution and receiving room work are examples of where we have ongoing needs.

We also encourage young people, whether individually or as a part of a group, to get involved in the satisfaction of volunteering and to learn how they can make a difference in the lives of our less fortunate neighbors. For over 100 years, Family Service, Inc. has been fulfilling our mission of “Caring for People by Giving a Hand Up not a Hand Out” and it is only made possible by our caring and dedicated volunteers.
