If you’d wish to tour Family Service, Inc. at 1824 1st Avenue North in Billings, let us know, and we’ll be happy to arrange for your visit.  We usually schedule visits for the 2nd Wednesday of the month at noon, but we will accommodate your visit anytime with prior notice.  Call us at 406-259-2269.

A Message from the Director

The Homeless, Unemployed, Under-Employed, Hungry, Abused.  These are all labels that describe an ever-increasing number of our neighbors in Billings, Montana.  At Family Service, Inc. we are seeing a 25% increase in the number of people coming in asking for assistance and we can give a number percentage of the increase in food going out the door, we can tell you about the number of families that we have helped with rental & utility assistance.  But at Family Service, Inc. it is not just about numbers; it is about people!  That single mother who was forced to leave her job because of a sick child, the elderly couple on a fixed income who just could not make ends meet, or the young father who had an emergency car repair that exhausted his paycheck and needed help with his rent.  We are seeing people with the look of fear and anxiety on their faces, because they are at a point where there does not seem to be a way out of their crises.

Family Service Inc. has been "Caring for People by Giving a Hand Up not a Hand Out" for almost 104 years.  We would not be able to do the things we do without the help and generosity of people like you.

Coming Home for the Holidays

 

Families have started signing up for our Thanksgiving and Christmas programs. These major endeavors provide Holiday food boxes and gifts to families and individuals who would otherwise have absolutely nothing during the Holidays. And just as important, all of us in the Billings community will give the relief, assurance and cheer that says, “We care for every person living here.” Our devoted staff and volunteers will make every effort to fulfill the need. If you would like to know how you can assist, please call 259-2269 or click on the News/Events tab.
